The team at Solaris Offgrid produce a Pay-As-You-Go enabled Solar Charge Controller designed to deliver power for developing countries. The easy and low cost PAYG business model makes life changing solar technology and electrical energy affordable to the 1.1 billion people in need helping to reduce poverty and improve livelihoods. The team are on track to provide energy access to tens of thousands of homes by 2030 with over 23k customers in Tanzania already using the products.

  • The team began developing with Mbed OS 2+RTOS then easily upgraded to Mbed OS 5 when it was launched.
  • Mbed helped the team with initial configuration of the MCU and allowed easy RTOS implementation.
