VS1053 and SD card
Hello Actually, I am working on a project that I am trying to play mp3 from an SD card over the VS1053. I have tried a lot of ways but I get not response from the speaker. Any help would be helpful.

Are you by chance using an "LCSoft Studios" board?
If so, these boards apparantly boot up in MIDI mode, so if you want to play an audio file you need to either solder a couple of pins together as described in the blog at http://www.bajdi.com/lcsoft-vs1053-mp3-module/ or you need to do a "soft reboot" to get into the appropriate mode per http://www.bajdi.com/lcsoft-vs1053-mp3-module/#comment-33773
If you're using a different board, then this may be of no help sorry. Just thought it sounded like a possible cause, and I happen to have just purchased a couple of these boards on eBay to try out, so will need to do this myself.
It looks like this library has already been patched to suit these boards: https://developer.mbed.org/users/silis/code/VS1053/ Haven't tried it out yet, but I'm hopeful...
