how to start U-blox C027 ?

I just connected C027 board to computer by USB. After that, I downloaded a program into MBED, but the file is failed. I had installed u-center software, does it use for my project?

I need use u-blox C027 to test something's (car, bike ..) distance, speed, but I don't know how to do in the next step. Which software do i need ?
