Problem with windows 8.1 and KL25Z

I tried install firmware according to instructions https://mbed.org/handbook/Firmware-FRDM-KL25Z

At the end of manual is Firmware changelog, where is update for win 8.1. Doesn't work.

I tried too http://mbed.org/users/Kojto/notebook/cmsis-dap-for-the-freedom-platform-kl05-kl25-kl46-/

Can it run on windows 8.1? Or is it better to go back to windows 8?

Thank you for your advice.

There are 2 moving parts here. First is the Bootloader and the second is CMSIS-DAP. To update CMSIS-DAP you need the Bootloader to be compatible with your operating system. The Bootloader only supports Windows XP, Vista 7 until somehwere around version 1.11. To find the version hold the reset button and plug in the board. I think the file is called SDA_INFO and that should tell you the Bootloader version. There is a link https://mbed.org/handbook/Firmware-FRDM-KL25Z about updating the Bootloader.

The short answer is YES, the PE Micro Bootloader and CMSIS-DAP do support development on Windows 8.1 but you'll need a Windows 7 or older PC to do all the proper updates. Hope this isn't too confusing.
