Is mbed web IDE based on an open source IDE?

Is mbed web browser based IDE based on an existing open source IDE? Or is it build from scratch as proprietary software?

If open source, how can I get the source/classes for embed browser based IDE and deploy it internally at my company?

Code security is a big (too big) issue at big high tech companies, where lawyers won't let engineers upload their code to the public cloud.

The web IDE is proprietary.

Having worked for Siemens, I'm aware of corporate and security concerns. You can take the toolset off-line, if you want, and still develop for mbed. Here are a few links I got with this quick search:

A more in-depth search would probably yield even better results. But, a proprietary web IDE should not deter you from using these awesome little chips.
